This Abbot & Downing Co. Western Concord stagecoach replica was recently restored by coachbuilders Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop in South Dakota. This coach features a nine-passenger body, gilded in 24-carat gold leaf, with front and rear roof seating, a manual foot-operated brake, front and rear cowhide leather boots, and a team hitch. The Concord Coach design with a flat top provided space for baggage and passengers. The high driver's seat provided good leverage for braking and vision of the road ahead. The thoroughbrace suspension carries the body on 300 feet of leather. It is 14 feet long, 84 inches wide, 8 feet 10 inches tall, and has a weight of 2,400 pounds. This is an exact replica of the overland, heavy Western Concord mail coaches that traveled the Butterfield Trail and were used extensively by Wells Fargo & Co. The lettering "Overland Stage Co." will be added before shipping the coach. The sale is offered with antique luggage on the roof, a prop rifle and leather scabbard, and a leather whip. **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE**
