The 1990 Ferrari 348 TS is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car that was part of Ferrari's V8 lineage, succeeding the Ferrari 328. The car features a 3.4-liter quad-cam V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft and dry-sump lubrication, producing 300hp. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The "TS" denotes the transverse gearbox and the Targa top. It has a 0-60 mph acceleration time of about 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph. The 348 TS was equipped with a dual-computer Bosch Motronic engine management system and anti-lock brakes (ABS). Design and production of the 348 TS was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, with styling elements like straked side-air intakes and rectangular taillights reminiscent of the Testarossa. It was the last V8 Ferrari to be developed under Enzo Ferrari's direction before his death. Production of the 348 TS ran from 1989 to 1995, with a total of 4,228 TS models produced.
