This nut-and-bolt-restored 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is powered by a rebuilt 2F inline-6 engine paired with a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel-drive transfer case. The engine and transmission were rebuilt using genuine Toyota parts. The suspension upgrades include new set of Old Man Emu shock absorbers, anti-roll bar and a full Tokiko suspension system. It is fitted with a 2-inch exhaust, upgraded disc brakes, power steering and a new air-conditioning system. The restoration began with a full tear-down, stripping the Land Cruiser down to its chassis. The frame and body were sandblasted, and the exterior is finished in new paint. The exterior also features new fenders, bumpers, a tire carrier, running boards, glass, lights, fog lights, an auxiliary lamp, a TA Warn 8,000-pound winch, high-lift jack, license plate holder, bumper pads, rearview mirrors, windshield wipers and motor, a full set of accessory lights, door handles and trim pieces, along with a new soft-top. It rolls on new wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. The interior has been completely restored with Brazilian leather and features a modern touchscreen stereo with a subwoofer and amplifier, a custom center console instrument cluster, dashboard switches and knobs, shift knobs, cigarette lighter, a complete leather-wrapped steering column assembly with keys and cylinder, full set of door latches, a complete set of new glass and windows, seat belts, air filter and parking brake assembly.
