Details

This 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite was restored by a longtime owner and retains an original powertrain, including a 383ci big-block V8 engine rebuilt with Keith Black and Hughes Engines parts for the internals. Power is backed by a heavy-duty 4-speed manual transmission rebuilt with a taller cruising gear and optioned with a 3.55 Sure-Grip rear end. The B-body was stripped to the bare shell and rebuilt from the ground up. The project included sourcing out many NOS parts, including the interior cloth, taillight assembly, grille and tail panel trim, to keep the fit and finish as accurate as possible. A '70 Road Runner air grabber hood assembly was fitted as if it was a factory option. The vision was to restore it as it came off the assembly line, and the owner chose to put Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. The exterior is finished in a Dark Burnt Orange Metallic with a full black vinyl top and black-accent hood stripes. The optioned premium interior is dressed in the correct finishes of Brunt Orange cloth and vinyl with a split-bench seat and a center armrest. It was also optioned with an AM radio with 8-track and a rear-window defogger.
