Description

Summary

Powered by a modified Whipple-supercharged LSX engine mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission with a McLeod hydraulic clutch. May not be emissions compliant in all states.

Details

The custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro has been heavily reworked, now featuring a 1,000hp engine and massive undercarriage upgrades; it was a 3,000-man-hour accomplishment on the body alone to become a widebody with one-off steel flares and bodywork. This car began with an Alston's Chassisworks tubular front suspension equipped with Aldan coilovers and a rear frame using a Chassisworks rear clip, all tied together with Chassisworks subframe connectors and a 12-point full cage with dash bar, and removable door bars and back brace. Power comes from a custom-built Borowski 1,000hp LSX V8 engine topped by a Whipple 2.91-liter supercharger and utilizes Holley Dominator engine management, a Holley Big Twin electric 550LPH fuel pump and a custom-made cold air intake. The engine makes use of a billet dry sump pan and remote-mounted Stef's 11-quart dry-sump tank, big Stainless Works 1.875-inch headers feeding muffled exhaust and a four-core Be Cool aluminum radiator with Spal electric fans. The engine is backed by a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission and McLeod hydraulic clutch, leading to a Chassisworks Fab-9 rear housing with coilovers and 4.11 gears. Wilwood 14-inch disc brakes with hydro-boost, plus Chassisworks suspension parts and a Flaming River billet rack & pinion steering layout and tilt column help to keep it all under control. **MAY NOT BE EMISSIONS COMPLIANT IN ALL STATES**
