2025 PALM BEACH AUCTION – 2017 FORD F-250 DWYANE WADE CHAMPIONS EDITION CUSTOM PICKUP – NO RESERVE
As each Barrett-Jackson event begins to take shape, the team at The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions is always excited to learn what amazing vehicles will be crossing the auction block for charity. Donated by incredibly generous individuals and organizations, these “cars for a cause” sell with No Reserve and, because Barrett-Jackson waives all fees, 100% of the hammer price goes directly to a charity chosen by each donor.
Among the charity sales at the 2025 Palm Beach Auction will be two impressive vehicles associated with a couple of heavy hitters from the world of sports. On Friday, April 25, NBA superstar Dwyane Wade – who spent most of his 16-year career playing for the Miami Heat – will be on the auction block for the sale of a one-of-a-kind Champions Edition 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup. Wade collaborated with RealTruck to create this custom vehicle, which is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and loaded with special touches. Features include a 6-inch lift kit, a custom deck cargo glide in the insulated bed, graphics highlighting some of Wade’s professional accolades, Wade’s illuminated signature in the star headliner and his embroidered signature on the headrests. Every penny from the sale of this special truck will benefit Social Change Fund United, a non-profit organization co-founded by Wade, which is committed to utilizing collective influence and resources to make a greater impact in underrepresented communities of color.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome “The Bus” Bettis – best known for his 10 seasons as a running back with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers – will also be heading to the auction block on Friday with his very own VIN 001 2025 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ convertible. The entire sale price will go to The Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation, which offers various educational, recreational, development and financial assistance programs for youth. This ’Vette is powered by a 5.5-liter LT6 V8 DI high-output flat-plane crank engine mated to an 8-speed dual clutch transmission and is finished in menacing black inside and out, with a plethora of carbon-fiber features, as well as the Stealth Interior Trim Package, Carbon-Fiber Interior Package Level 2 and the Z07 Performance Package.
2025 PALM BEACH AUCTION – 2009 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR1 – NO RESERVE
Super Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction on April 26 will see the final two charity cars cross the block, including a beautiful 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 generously donated by noted Florida businessman and philanthropist Nicholas A. Mastroianni II to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Hannah’s Home of South Florida, which helps homeless, pregnant women overcome adversity, find hope and live victoriously. This Cyber Gray example with a custom leather interior has just 3,800 actual miles and is from the introductory year of the ZR1 model, which was the first Corvette to exceed 200 mph and achieve true supercar performance. Under the hood is the famed LS9 6.2-liter supercharged engine that produces 638hp and 630 ft/lbs of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
2025 PALM BEACH AUCTION – 2024 FORD MUSTANG DARK HORSE VIN 001 – NO RESERVE
In January, Barrett-Jackson announced its commitment to help raise awareness and funds for the Tunnel to Towers (T2T) Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting U. S. military veterans, first responders and their families. As a major part of that commitment, longtime Barrett-Jackson supporter, businessman and philanthropist Ron Pratte has donated his 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse VIN 001 to be sold on Saturday, April 26, with 100% of the hammer price benefiting T2T. At the heart of the Dark Horse is a Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine with a dual air-intake box and throttle-body design that sends 500 horsepower and 418 ft/lbs of torque to a unique 6-speed Tremec manual transmission. Special-order equipment on this VIN 001 includes Recaro seats, painted hood and accent stripes, and both Handling and Appearance packages.
Whether watching these heartwarming sales from afar via Barrett-Jackson’s live television coverage or sitting in the auction arena getting ready to bid from the heart, you’ll be certain to witness plenty of emotional moments and incredible memories that will have a lasting impact for years to come.
