Details
This custom 1968 Chevrolet C10 factory short-bed pickup built by Adams Customs in Arizona underwent a complete frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. Power is provided by a brand-new GM 6.2-liter LS3 engine backed by a Chevrolet Performance 4L70E 4-speed automatic transmission painted in Inferno Orange and connected to a rebuilt 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. The engine bay has been completely smoothed, featuring shaved and symmetrical firewall, hidden wiring, custom cold-air intake and radiator tubes. The engine is cooled by a custom dual-fan aluminum radiator. Additional upgrades include a new Holley mid-mount serpentine front runner and fitted with hidden coil packs under Chevrolet script valve covers. The pickup sits on a lowered powder-coated factory matching-numbers short-bed frame with tubular front and rear suspension. A set of chrome U.S. Mags Bullet 20-inch wheels set the look of this C10, alongside the four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood calipers. The braking system is further enhanced by a Detroit Speed dual diaphragm booster and Wilwood proportioning valve, along with custom-built stainless-steel brake lines. The fuel system features a rear-mounted gas tank. It also features rack & pinion steering, a dual exhaust system and Hedman long-tube headers. This pickup features a completely corrosive-free body and has been completely reworked from bare metal, including refining the door gaps for a high-end, seamless fit and finish. It has been professionally finished with Sherwin-Williams basecoat and top-shelf clearcoat. The modern BMW Space Gray color is accented by Linen White and is meticulously cut and polished to a mirror-like finish. The bottom side of the cab was painted as well, and the bed features a usable Raptor Liner. Modern functionality meets classic design with upgraded door latches replaced by modern Bear Claw latches, reworked for \"no slam” soft-closing functionality. The pickup also features all-new glass and trim throughout. The fully custom interior features redesigned bench seats, which have been fitted with bolster foam and upholstered in authentic leather. Fully custom door panels add a modern touch to the interior. The dash is completed with a brand-new set of Dakota Digital gauges, while the stereo is powered by a Classic Car Stereo system with kick panels. Underneath the dash, a brand-new 21-circuit wiring harness integrates with the GM fuse block. The inside of the cab has been completely Raptor-lined and sound-deadened. The steering column was replaced with a CPP tilt column, paired with a new 15-inch original-style steering wheel painted to match and includes a CST horn button. The interior is cooled by a new Vintage Air Gen 5 system.
