Details
This custom 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 530hp Dart small-block Chevrolet engine with Speedster Downdraft 8-stack EFI intake manifold system pairs with FiTech's sophisticated computer tech, modern internals, cooling, balancing and a modern serpentine belt drive. The block was built by Oches Performance and has clearance for the larger crank to get 427ci of displacement producing 530hp and 560 ft/lbs of torque. The exhaust is a long-tube header with a collector spike to control the airflow. The engine is backed by a Tremec 5-speed transmission, with the tunnel lined with a Gold heat shield to reduce heat transfer to the passenger compartment. The exhaust is finished with custom bends and TIG-welded by a master welder. The frame was sandblasted, fully repaired and reinforced at the rear for added strength. After welding was completed, it was put in a jig to ensure it was straight, then it was powder-coated. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston rear brakes, with all-new stainless-steel brake and fuel lines. This Corvette sits on a RideTech adjustable coilover setup with ride height and ride-quality adjustability, and rolls on custom Billet Specialties wheels, 8x18-inch fronts and 10x18-inch rears. The entire wiring harness and light bulbs are all-new from Lectric Limited. The interior was completed by Finish Line in Santa Clara, CA, and it was designed to enhance the OEM interior. The seats were custom-built for the car to match the rear deck height and are leather and Alcantara. The dash pads are Alcantara with a French seam. The glovebox door is the original one that came with the car. The instruments and gauges are all-original mechanical gauges, fully restored to show-quality. The steering wheel is slightly smaller than OEM Grant wheel and connected to a modern Borgeson power steering unit, so it steers like a modern car. The windshield wipers haven't been used but work and are the original red dot wipers that came with the car. Every seam was corrected, 1.5-inch flared rear quarter-panels were installed, and the birdcage was fully repaired. More than $50,000 has been spent on body and paint, and the sale includes invoices.
