2025 PALM BEACH AUCTION – 2022 FERRARI SF90 ASSETTO FIORANO – NO RESERVE

Ferraris are imbued with so much speed and style that sometimes the advanced technology behind the Prancing Horse logo gets overlooked. But no one will make that mistake with a Ferrari SF90 Stradale, like the 2022 Assetto Fiorano example pictured above that will be offered with No Reserve at Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach Auction, April 24-26 at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

287634_EngineThe SF90 Stradale is the first Ferrari to feature plug-in hybrid (PHEV) architecture that pairs a mid-engine 4.0-liter twin-turbo internal combustion V8 engine with three electric motors, producing a combined 986 horsepower, the most of any 8-cylinder Ferrari in history. Two of the electric motors are located on the front axle, with the third at the rear between the engine and the F1 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is the first mid-engine Ferrari with all-wheel drive and, when in eDrive mode, the SF90 Stradale can be driven solely on the front electric motors.

287634_Rear_3-4The advanced features extend beyond the powertrain. The Assetto Fiorano Package on the car offered in Palm Beach includes aggressive use of carbon-fiber components to reduce weight and improve aerodynamics, along with suspension upgrades that make the car at home on any racetrack. The package includes a carbon-fiber high-downforce rear spoiler, along with carbon-fiber rear bumper inserts, rocker panel covers and front bumper.

Further weight reduction and balance from the Assetto Fiorano Package are provided by lightweight titanium springs and Multimatic shock absorbers. The SF90 Stradale came standard with Ferrari’s F1-Trac Traction Control and E-Diff 3 differential.

287634_InteriorWhen Motor Trend magazine was able to strap their testing equipment on a SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano in 2021 they recorded a 0-60 mph charge of only 2.10 seconds, and a quarter-mile in an astonishing 9.6 seconds at 145.2 mph. “It’s both the quickest hybrid and quickest gasoline-powered car we’ve ever tested,” they pronounced. “It’s incredibly easy to drive fast. Every number on this car is intimidating, from the power it makes to the speeds and acceleration it’s capable of. Yet when you drive it, the car works with you, not against you. Despite blending power from three motors and an engine, the throttle pedal has plenty of travel and a linear gain that makes for easy and precise adjustments.”

Beyond the Assetto Fiorano gear, this SF90 Stradale was extensively personalized with $158,000 in Ferrari options from the factory. These options include a carbon-fiber side air splitter, carbon-fiber LED steering wheel and carbon-fiber wheels with titanium wheel stud bolts and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2R tires. The car is equipped with an Advanced Front Driving Camera, Electrochromatic rearview mirror and a Homelink garage door opener.

This SF90 Stradale cuts an imposing figure with its rarely seen Nero Stellato Extra Range paint over a Nero interior color. The optional yellow brake calipers and yellow “Scuderia Ferrari” shields provide a nice contrast. That yellow accenting carries over to the interior, with the optional Ferrari Prancing Horse stitched on the headrests and striping on the seats.

287634_Misc_50448589-a3a4-4d82-bd96-dff300cd61cfBesides being stylish, the car’s interior is as purposeful as the drivetrain and suspension. The driver commands the show from specific-design carbon-fiber racing seat with a racing seat lifter. Other detailing includes embroidered mats with logo, premium Hi-Fi sound system, dual-zone climate control and a dedication plate in silver. A Personalization Specifications plate in the luggage compartment lists the special features of the car.

For Ferrari, the SF90 Stradale represented more than simply another evolution in a long line of supercars. “The car’s name encapsulates the true significance of all that has been achieved in terms of performance. The reference to the 90th anniversary of the foundation of Scuderia Ferrari underscores the strong link that has always existed between Ferrari’s track and road cars,” Ferrari explains on its website. “A brilliant encapsulation of the most advanced technologies developed in Maranello, the SF90 Stradale is also the perfect demonstration of how Ferrari immediately transitions the knowledge and skills it acquires in competition to its production cars.”

That may sound like a lot to live up to, but the next owner of this SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano will find the car is more than capable of measuring up to the legends of Ferrari’s past. Register to bid today for a chance to add this Prancing Horse to your stable.
