This 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS is powered by a factory 409ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This example was the recipient of a three-year, rotisserie restoration completed in 2023. The engine was treated to a full professional rebuilt to 425hp specifications, the block was bored .030 over, magnafluxed, honed and decked. The crankshaft was ground 10/10 and the rotating assembly was fully balanced and blueprinted. The camshaft is a new 425hp solid-lifter version and 11:1 pistons were installed. The date-correct heads have casting number 690 and have been rebuilt with new Guides bronze seats, valves and springs. Up top sits the original Winters dual-quad intake and carburetors, now using upgraded Edelbrock and Doug's ceramic-coated headers flowing into a factory-style 2.5-inch exhaust, along with turbo mufflers. Power is backed by a rebuilt Super T10 Power Brute 4-speed manual transmission with a new Centerforce dual-friction clutch and pressure plate, flywheel and a new throw-out bearing; however, the original 3.36 posi-traction ratio remains. A new upgraded Yukon Sure-Grip posi-traction third member and Yukon axles were also installed. All brake components, suspension, steering and bushings have all been replaced with new. During the restoration, the original bumpers were dismantled, filled and rechromed. This example is finished in an original color of Monaco Blue. The all-new original matching blue vinyl interior features rebuilt front and rear seats recovered to factory colors. It also features a new American Autowire updated wiring harness, along with a factory 8,000-rpm tachometer. This example has been driven less than 1,000 miles since the restoration was completed in July 2023.
