Details

This custom 1957 Chevrolet 3100 stepside pickup underwent an extensive restoration including the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine, reportedly sourced from a 2015 Camaro with 55,000 miles. The engine breathes through aftermarket headers that feed a dual exhaust system with Hush Thrush mufflers and electric cutouts. An aftermarket cold-air intake and an aluminum radiator have also been installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission, a Denny’s aluminum driveshaft and a C4 Corvette rear end. This pickup features a S10 front suspension, front sway bar and incorporates power steering and tubular control arms, along with Aldan coilover shocks added at each corner. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood front calipers and rotors and C4-spec rear units. This pickup was repainted in two-tone gray and orange during the build. On the exterior, the bumpers, grille, glass, lighting, door handles and mirrors were also replaced, and one-piece side windows were installed. This truck also has an oak wood-lined bed. This pickup rolls on staggered-diameter chrome American Racing wheels,17-inch up front and 18-inch out back, wrapped in Toyo tires. The interior features a reupholstered gray-fabric bench seat, along with replacement door panels, handles and hinges, with wiring installed during the build. Black carpets were fitted over aftermarket sound insulation, and power windows were also added. Inside, the cabin also features a replacement push-button radio, aftermarket gauges, climate controlled by a Vintage Air system, and an electric emergency brake.
