This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Resto-Mod convertible was treated to a full frame-off restoration and is finished in Pearl Red and Pearl White paint. It is powered by a 383ci stroker V8 engine with dual-quad Edelbrock carburetors, mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. It is equipped with a posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears, custom headers, dual exhaust, March serpentine belt system, braided hoses and stainless lines, inside a Billet Specialties chrome and polished engine compartment, along with a custom aluminum radiator and a Painless wiring harness. With a painted frame, this example sits on a C4 Corvette front and rear all-aluminum independent suspension with dual adjustable coilover shocks, power rack & pinion steering, and power disc brakes on the front and rear. It rolls on 18-inch Boyd Coddington wheels wrapped in new tires and has an exterior with one-piece "smoothie" front and rear bumpers, a new tan convertible power top and a power antenna. The interior features a custom dash and center console, Dolphin gauges, Ididit polished tilt steering column with leather-wrapped wheel, custom two-tone tan leather interior and trunk, power remote-open doors and trunk, power windows, a Vintage Air system and Pioneer stereo/CD player. This example was awarded Chicago World of Wheels 2007 Best of Show. It has approximately 6,400 miles on the build since completion.
