Details

This professionally restored and custom-built 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop is a complete show-quality high-end build done by the owner of EBM Customs in Wilmington, NC. It sits on an Art Morrison chassis and the exterior is expertly finished in two-tone silver and black paint with shaved doors. This '55 is powered by a 427ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission delivering power to a Ford 9-inch rear end. Spent gases exit through a set of ceramic-coated headers feeding a polished stainless dual-exhaust system. The engine is fed with a Holley Quick Fuel carburetor and polished aluminum intake manifold. The high-performance suspension consists of Strange coilovers at all four corners, tubular control arms, a 4-link rear end setup, power rack & pinion steering and heavy-duty sway bars. This custom Chevrolet rides on polished aluminum Schott wheels. Stopping is handled with power-assisted Wilwood 6- and 4-piston calipers clamping on slotted and drilled rotors. The custom red leather interior features a custom dashboard with Dakota Digital VHX Series instrumentation, '62 Impala bucket seats, Vintage Air, a polished tilt steering column, custom console and under-dash panels, and a custom JVC stereo system. Other equipment includes a stainless fuel tank, billet hood and trunk hinges, a Ron Davis aluminum radiator with dual fans, billet serpentine front accessory drive and electric door latches. The engine compartment features a smoothed firewall and custom inner fender panels. This '55 Bel Air has been driven just 600 miles since the build was completed.
