This 1954 Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mark I is one of 565 produced. This factory left-hand-drive model was the recipient of a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic frame-off restoration in 2017. It is powered by a 230ci inline-6 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and is finished in California Sage paint over a tan leather interior with British Racing Green carpet throughout. All the wood was professionally refinished, all the chrome was rechromed, and every nut and bolt were touched in the restoration process. The mechanical components were thoroughly gone through, including carburetor rebuilt, all-new fuel lines, fuel pump, all hoses and clamps, rebuilt and wrapped all wiring harnesses, timing belt, gaskets, brake lines, generator, rewiring of all dashboard electronics and four new wire wheels special-ordered from England. The sale includes a binder of restoration invoices totaling nearly $300,000, along with images of the restoration, documenting the barn find of the car and everything that was done in preparation for the sale.
