This matching-numbers 1932 Auburn 8-101-A is powered by a 268.6/100hp L-head inline-8 engine. This 8-100A convertible is a custom model, equipped from the factory with the dual-ratio rear axle, chromed headlights, driving lights and \"Running Man\" hood ornament, and still has its original body, engine and serial number tag on the floorboard. This car presents well with an older restoration and features, such as painted-wire wheels and whitewall tires. This Auburn participated in the Grand European CARavan, a month-long tour of Europe hosted by the Classic Car Club of America, with handwritten packing lists for the journey accompanying the car, noting all the parts and tools that had to be carried to the Old World, as well as mechanical preparations made by Odyssey Restorations. It also includes photographs that documented the journey and a professionally published hardcover book of these photos, many of which feature the Auburn. Following the tour, the car was cosmetically freshened and returned to the owner's collection. In 2019, the car was acquired by another collector, who also toured with the car. This Auburn has earned the AACA Junior Award as recently as 2022. In addition to the aforementioned file, this example is also offered with a copy of the Auburn Factory Service Bulletins for 1931-33, which will aid the new owner in maintaining it into the future. This Auburn also includes a set of six blackwall show tires, a factory restored tool kit and the original owner's manual.
