1967 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CUSTOM COUPE

Details

This recently completed 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Resto-Mod was built by Christopher Allison of RestoCreations. It is powered by a 650hp LT4 GM crate engine mated to a T56 TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission with a dual friction clutch and hydraulic system provided by Silver Sport Transmissions. It rides on a custom tubular chassis from SRIII Motorsports with fully independent front and rear suspension. The chassis features C6 Corvette control arms and spindles, Viking Adjustable coilover shocks,

stainless-steel brake lines, Tru Trac rear end with 3.70 gears and CV joint axles. It also features Corvette Z06 brakes with drilled rotors, a custom-made stainless-steel fuel tank and power rack & pinion steering. A custom rear floor with tubs and transmission tunnel was crafted to clear the rear suspension tires and T56 transmission. A DeWitts dual-fan LS radiator keeps the engine cool. A full custom stainless-steel exhaust system was also fabricated by MPFab that utilizes stainless Borla mufflers for an aggressive sound. Power is supplied by an American Auto Wire wiring harness. Electrical components include power windows from Auto City Classic, Dakota Digital programmable gauges and clock, Detroit Speed wiper motor and a Bluetooth retro Radio. The full custom interior is made with leather from Italy and features French stitching on the dash pads, diamond stitching on the seats and door panels, a full custom leather-covered center console and shift boot, Billet Specialties pedal covers, custom-made carpet and Billet Specialties vent window-crank handles. A modern heating and cooling system by Vintage Air keeps the cockpit cool or heated as needed. Custom-made wide quarter-panels were added to the body of the car for a more aggressive stance and clearance of wide rear wheels and tires. The 19- and 20-inch wheels were specifically custom-made by BOZE wheels for this car. The billet aluminum rocker panels were custom-made by RestomodTech LLC, which also provided the unique drop-down headlights that are operated with a special actuator.
