This 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro Coupe is powered by a 427ci V8 engine paired to a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Built on June 30, 1969, and delivered to Bill Allen Chevrolet, this COPO has three signature Dick Harrell modifications: contrasting wide stripe on the cowl-induction hood, matching stripes on the doors and quarter-panels and an American Racing Products rear spoiler. The car was factory-built to COPO 9561 specifications, which called for the MO-suffix L72 427ci V8 engine,

CX-code 400 Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed transmission and BE-code 12-bolt rear end. Also, part of the COPO 9561 package was the ZL2 cowl-induction steel hood, a heavy-duty four-core radiator, the F41 high-performance suspension and power front disc brakes. In 1983, the original L72 engine was replaced with an LE-suffix 1969 LS1 427ci V8 with 512 casting; it is also currently equipped with a CO-code Turbo 400 transmission and BS-code 3.31 posi-traction rear end, dated July 1969. In 2019, a preservation restoration completed retained the original sheet metal and other original components when possible. The front subframe was rebuilt with new bushings and correct Grade 8 hardware. It received Bilstein shock absorbers, heavy-duty super stock rear springs, chromed exhaust headers, a new reproduction, four-core, curved-neck radiator and new 15-inch direct-bolt Cragar SS wheels with Coker Firestone Wide Oval F70 front and G70 rear tires. An estimated 500 hours were invested in the body prep and paint using 3M products and the Akzo Nobel Lesonal paint system to recreate the car's 1971 day-two appearance, the Glacier Blue digitally matched to the original OEM firewall cowl tulip panel paint. Documentation includes a digital photo portfolio of work performed, an NCRS Shipping Data Report and a copy of the original invoice.
