This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 custom 5-window all-steel pickup was hand-built by HJ Customs and has won numerous awards, such as the Builders Choice Award at Salt Lake City 2021 Goodguys show, Best of Show at Hot August Nights 2021 and Best of Show at Cool Cars Hot Days car show in Eagle, ID. It has been fully restored with high attention to detail; as an example, the wheels, steering wheel and air conditioning vents all match. The pickup sits on an Art Morrison chassis that has been color-matched to the truck and is complete with independent front and rear suspension with adjustable coilovers on all four corners. Corvette brakes are used for stopping power for a brand-new GM crate LS3 V8 engine using a Holley Terminator fuel-injection system with the vintage look of a carburetor. The engine is backed by a new 4L60 automatic transmission that matches the interior color. The engine has Holley vintage valve covers, an All American Billet serpentine kit, Billet Specialties air filter, long-tube headers and remote coil packs. The body has subtle modifications like a one-piece windshield, frenched headlights, tucked front and rear bumpers, one-piece running boards, extended bedpost into the running boards, rear tail pan apron made into one piece with a frenched-in license plate, smoothed tailgate with latching system and under-bed fuel cell with flush-mount fuel door. The entire truck body has been smoothed, gapped and panel-matched. The firewall has also been smoothed out with smoothed vented custom inner fender wells. The brake system is an under-floor system to keep it clean under the hood. The bed has been mini-tubbed to fit the gorgeous 20x12-inch Billet Specialties Bonneville G wheels with a custom bed wood stain. The custom Saddle Tan interior is hand-built and hand-stitched, including a custom leather headliner with door panels to match, and a custom center console to house the double-DIN radio with backup camera. The sound system uses all Kicker speakers with an 8-inch subwoofer. Dakota Digital RTX gauges that look vintage but are all digital, Resto-Mod air vents and Vintage Air climate control system, power windows, power locks and heated seats are all also included. Inside also features an Ididit tilt steering column for added comfort while driving, Lokar brake and gas pedal, and Lokar floor shifter.
