1951 was the final year of Frazer production, and the Manhattan convertible sedan was the top-of-the-line model. It was the most expensive Frazer model offered, starting at $3,075 before options. Just 130 examples were built. This one wears an older restoration and features a handful of unique upgrades to improve performance and drivability. The original 226ci inline-6 was replaced with a 350ci small-block Chevrolet V8 engine paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission, and disc brakes were
fitted to the front to handle the added performance. This Manhattan is finished in black paint over a maroon cloth interior and a deep maroon canvas convertible top. This car is loaded with factory options including a power top, power windows and an AM radio. It has a mild custom, but period-correct, look complete with chrome wheel covers, wide whitewall tires and a louvered Corvette air cleaner.
