Details
This car still wears its AACA National First Place badge from 1972. The longer hood was no styling miscue, it was necessary to accommodate the 6-cylinder engine that was released just prior to the end of the model year. Meanwhile, the old reliable 171ci 4-cylinder engine gained higher compression, larger valves, aluminum pistons and a revised carburetor for a final breath of life and a rating of 35hp at 2,200 rpm. This example has been maintained very well over the years although it is starting
to show its age and the chrome/nickel plating may be losing some of its luster. With 3-speed manual transmission, this is one fantastic car.
