1971 CHEVROLET KINGSWOOD CUSTOM STATION WAGON

This wagon was built by Gas Monkey Garage on Discovery's hit show Fast N'Loud. The car was in great factory condition when it was purchased. In order to achieve that 70s style Hot Rod, it needed a big motor with big power and some slicks out back with skinnies in the front. The exterior of the car appears mostly factory with the stock trim and badges. The wagon originally came with a 400 big block motor. For the needed power, the engine was replaced with a crate GM Performance 454 HO. To top the motor off a polished Weiand 871 supercharger with dual Holley 750cfm carburetors was installed. Backing up the motor is a Sullivan racing Turbo 400 transmission to handle all that power. The exhaust for the motor is custom as well. It features a set of long tube headers with side pipes and electric cut outs for an open exhaust. The car still retains all its factory options like power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. It's running a set of 15' Crager SS wheels with some Firestone cheater slicks out back and BFGoodrich Radial T/A up front. The interior of the wagon is all factory stock except for the extra gauges on the dash.
