1969 FORD F-100 PICKUP

This short bed pickup was built by Gas Monkey Garage on Discovery's it show Fast N'Loud. This truck was taken apart and reassembled with updated and modern parts. Instead of painting the truck, the owner decided to flat clearcoat over the factory original paint. You can only get natural patina like this once so we decided to preserve it with clearcoat. The exterior of the truck appears stock with all the factory trim, badges and grill. The lowered stance was achieved by replacing the factory

I-beam suspension with a 2003 Crown Vic front clip. This conversion allowed for an update to the front with an independent front suspension with power disc brakes. The rear suspension was lowered with leaf spring flip kit. We also swapped out the rear end to a 2003 F150 8.8 differential with disc brakes. Under the hood we have a brand new 306cid crate motor from Ford Racing rated at 340hp and backed by an AOD transmission. The truck features power brakes, power steering and an air conditioning system from Old Air Products. The wheels on the truck are a set of American Racing VN327 two piece wheels measuring in a 20'x10' for the rear and a 20'x8.5' for the front in a gray center with polished lip wrapped in Toyo tires. The interior of the truck has a very factory appearance. The seat, dash and arm rests are covered in black leather done by Sue Martin at ASM Upholstery. This truck has all the creature comforts and reliability of a modern vehicle.
