1600 dual relief case engine now at 2180cc with 92mm Mahle pistons, Mahle rings, Engle 120 cam 8.5:1 compression. Stainless pushrod tubs, solid rockers, Weber 40 carburetors turned by Garry McNew and Velocity stacks by Terry McKinnon. AL Sidewinder exhaust, custom center mount fan shroud bead rolled to match the firewall. All wires hidden, the fuel line and carburetor linkage are behind the shroud. Custom billet manifold to mount oil sensors (plumbed up under the car), Billet Specialties breather on oil fill, breather box on back side of shroud, Rancho IRS Pro Street transaxle 3.88 gears and a Bosch starter. Body modifications include gaps tightened up, shaved wipers, exhaust cutouts, shaved parking lights, shaved and tucked bumpers, no fender welting, custom firewall and car doors, mini tubbed, custom dash and trim, ice pick door handles, early taillights and deck lid. This Beetle also has rack steering with air bags by Air Ride Technologies, 5' travel custom rear suspension with Porsche 944 joints and stub axles on bags. Custom red Ultraleather interior with custom billet parts, Budnik steering wheel horn button, Classic Instruments gauges, custom glove box and Bluetooth stereo system. Budnik Gassers with Yokohama S Drivers, United Pacific headlights with LED park/turns built in, HID high/low beam kit and LED taillights.
