1933 PACKARD 1005 V12 SEDAN CONVERTIBLE

Gordon Apker of Kent, WA, restored this magnificent 1933 Packard 12, Series 1005, convertible sedan in the late 1980s. Gordon purchased the Packard from the drummer of the band 'Three Dog Night' in 1974. The Packard, a late build in 1933, was original and had never been taken apart. Sporting a light green interior, the car still had the delivery tag on the cowl from Earl C. Anthony, who was the Packard distributor for the southwestern part of the United States. Once fully restored and painted

black with a black top, accented with a bright orange body molding and orange leather interior, it was shown and judged at the 1991 Grand Classic. The car won a first-place award in the Primary Division with a score of 99.5 points. The car's next owner was the Blackhawk Collection in California, where it was displayed in their museum. In 1995, the car was purchased by David Greek of Cincinnati, OH. Greek brought it to the 1996 Michigan Grand Classic in Windsor, Ontario, where it won the Senior Division. The present owner purchased the car in 2003. The car runs and drives wonderfully today, capable of touring or additional showing. All components are in excellent working order.
