Details

I am proud to have been the custodian of this 1937 Lincoln K seven-passenger touring car for the last ten years. Lincoln K7850 is of course a complete matching numbers car, bodied by the premier coachwork of Willoughby in Utica, NY. It is one of only seven built in 1937, and was one of the most expensive cars to be produced in that year. It was commissioned by the State of New York to be the official parade car for governor Herbert Lehman, as well as being used for the 1938-39 New York World's

Fair. The list of dignitaries who have ridden in this car are extensive, with ticker tape parades in New York a very common event of the 30s and into the 40s, the likes of Franklin Roosevelt and Admiral Byrd naming two. This car features a 414cid V12 offering a 150hp rating. Built on a massive frame with a 145' wheelbase, an aluminum body, Art Deco-inspired integrated teardrop headlights, hidden rear boot, geometric shaped side vent windows with side curtains. Being a seven-passenger touring car, it also has hidden jump seats, large touring trunk with a complete set of luggage within, making this car one of luxury, comfort, and rarity, and one of the last classic greats of the 30s. This car was invited and displayed at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where Lincoln was the featured marque. The car was also invited to the Seattle/Tacoma Kirkland Concours d'Elegance where it took Best of Class honors for five decades of Lincoln in September 2013. The 8-year restoration completed in 2012 speaks for itself, giving this car a pedigree that is rare indeed.
