Details

This Chevelle has Fathom Blue metallic exterior beautifully applied over first rate body work using two stage urethane. This car is show ready today with nothing else needed. White stripes tie in with the interior giving it a traditional Chevelle performance appearance. The panels line up and the gaps are even all around. The Cowl Induction hood is fully functional and the stripes have been embedded in the clear as is customary these days in high-end restorations. The car has been wet sanded and

buffed to a mirror-like finish. The chrome including the bumpers, hood pins and badges are all spectacular. All the stainless trim on this car has been professionally straightened and polished until it matched the chrome brilliance. Glass is new all around and is date code correct. The engine is original. Engine details are accurate throughout from the hoses and clamps to the Delco battery. The master cylinder and power brake booster are original and freshly plated. Chrome valve covers were part of the L78 package and combined with bright Chevy orange engine block and heads. The motor itself really pops inside the engine bay. Other details and markings are also authentic. This particular L78 is backed by a durable M21 Muncie 4-speed transmission. Like the engine, it is correct to the car and extra steps have been taken to make it as authentic as possible. Out back is the original Chevy 12-bolt rear with 4.10 gears and posi-traction. The rest of the chassis is just as accurately detailed with satin black floors that show no signs of rust or previous damage. An authentic dual exhaust system has been installed with correct hangers and chrome tips. The 14' SS wheels wear reproduction F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas bias-ply tires. This Chevelle rides and handles just as it would have when it was new. The interior is spectacular. The car is an original bucket seat interior. The interior has been fully restored to stock specifications. The original dash housing has been professional restored and has an original dash pad. In the trunk, spatter finish paint is protected by a correct trunk mat. There is also a matching spare tire along with a complete jack assembly. This beautifully restored SS 396/375hp L78 Chevelle with a 4-speed transmission and matching numbers engine and rear axle was completed in early 2014. Documented with Protect-O-Plate.
