This is one of 1,753 imported to the US in 1968. Matching numbers engine, transmission and body panels. Lots of fresh restoration work on a rust-free original SL. Newer parts include interior carpet, seats, shocks, exhaust and head light assemblies. All chrome, stainless trim and bright work has been polished to a high luster. Overall, this vehicle's exterior is clean with a new shiney paint job. This is a garage-kept vehicle. This car runs, drives and handles great. First year for 4-wheel disc
brakes. The engine is running properly and the air conditioning blows cold. There are no rust problems on this vehicle. She has all her original panels which are marked with #4606, the body number. The fenders have never been removed and are attached by the factory weld marks. The floor pans, front and rear frame rails are solid and never been touched. The trunk pan is also factory original metal.
