The DeLorean DMC-12 was made famous in the “Back to the Future” movies, as well as countless TV shows. This example, a 1981 all-original DeLorean, was found in the garage of its second owner, where it had been stored for the past 15 years, with 18,928 original miles on the odometer (the title reads mileage exempt). Still looking wonderful, it runs and drives well, powered by its original 2.85-liter V6 Peugeot/Renault Swiss-made engine with Bosch Jetronic fuel injection and backed by a 5-speed
manual transmission. The power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes bring the car to a stop as it should, and a spare tire rack with original instructions is an added accessory. Accompanying the car is all of its original documentation, including the Window Sticker, booklet from the National Dealer’s List, new car warranties and vehicle maintenance schedule/record. It even comes with its original license plate and registration, as well as a signed letter from John DeLorean congratulating the new own, the original set of four keys and several owner’s manuals.
