SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Sept. 18, 2024Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is bridging the past and present with a docket of collectible classic and late-model Mopars during the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos, Oct. 10-13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Included in this fall’s Mopar selection is a beautifully restored custom 1971 Dodge Challenger Hellcat (preview) that features a modern, supercharged 700-horsepower HEMI Hellcat engine and stock-appearing interior with Bluetooth stereo.

“Bidders attending our auction this October will have the chance to take home some of the best examples of classic and late-model Mopars,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Mopars were born from the golden era of the American racing scene in the 1960s and remain among the most coveted of American muscle cars today. From a 640-horsepower, low-mileage 2013 Dodge Viper GTS (preview) to a rare 1968 Dodge Dart GTS convertible (Lot #148), Mopar fans will find something to love.”

Lot #148 is a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS convertible that is one of only 271 built for the model year. It is powered by a V8 engine with 4-barrel carburetor backed by a 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. It underwent a comprehensive restoration and was painted in its original red PP-1 paint. The interior features bucket seats in the original color of white, console, factory air conditioning and AM/FM radio.

It is powered by its original 440ci Six-Pack engine with 390 horsepower that was built by Timmy Petty, top-end crew chief for Richard Childress Racing.

“Mopars were built to feel as at home on the commute to work as they are on the track,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “They were the perfect car to work on for weekend garage warriors and even led to an aftermarket parts industry that continues to thrive today through Dodge’s Direct Connection program. The Mopars crossing the block in Scottsdale this fall are a great match for any performance enthusiast.”
