LOT #661 – 1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 COUPE – NO RESERVE

The High-Octane Collection is composed of well-rounded, ready-to-drive vehicles, each offered with No Reserve at the 2022 Las Vegas Auction. The unique 22 car collection has a little bit of everything. Its offerings range from Chevrolet to Ford, with a few examples of the Pontiac brand and Plymouth mixed in.

LOT #668.1 – 1968 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS CUSTOM COUPE – NO RESERVE

The curator of the collection has looked for vehicles that are not quite finished, whether they have never been on the road and are 80-percent complete, or cars that make you wish something was just a little bit different after you have gone for a drive. The High-Octane team takes the vehicle apart and makes necessary changes, repairs, or completes the build. Each vehicle goes through an extensive shakedown and tests to ensure it runs and drives as it should so it can be driven on the street or the strip.

“You can go to the grocery store, and if you want to drive it to the racetrack and make your quarter mile pass, it works for that as well,” the consignor said, adding he likes cars that are capable of being driven daily and enjoyed.

Among the consignor’s favorite vehicles is a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS L78 finished in its factory Monaco Orange color (Lot #661), a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Pro-Touring custom coupe (Lot #668.1), and a 1967 Chevrolet Nova ll custom coupe (Lot #443) finished in Viper Blue.

The Monaco Orange Chevelle showcases the nameplate in its original form. Under the hood is its correct L78 396/375hp engine paired to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. The original theme continues inside with the correct black interior with bucket seats and a center console.

Providing stark contrast is a Jet Black 1968 Pro-Touring Chevelle custom coupe. It comes powered by a freshly built Chevrolet 427ci big block engine paired to a TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission and makes use of UMI tubular suspension throughout. It represents what can be done to a classic car with today’s modern technology.

LOT #425 – 1966 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE CUSTOM COUPE – NO RESERVE

Other Chevelles from the collection include a custom 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle (Lot #425), a yellow 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle custom coupe (Lot #651.1), and two 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle’s (Lot #423 and Lot #661.1, respectively). Rounding out the Chevelles offered are two from 1971, a custom coupe (Lot #443.1) and an LS5 SS (Lot #442.1).

Another of the consignors’ favorite vehicles is a custom 1967 Chevrolet Nova II. Under the hood is a 383ci stroker V8 engine paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission with a Moser 12-bolt rear axle. Finished in Viper Blue over black, this Nova also has Wilwood front disc brakes and rides on Cragar wheels.

Additionally representing the bowtie brand are five Camaros: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro custom convertible (Lot #652), 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS custom coupe (Lot #427), 1972 Chevrolet Camaro RS custom coupe (Lot #425.1), a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro custom coupe (Lot #426), and a 1981 Camaro Z28 coupe (Lot #128).

The High-Octane collection also includes a 1964 Chevrolet Corvette (Lot #442) powered by its original matching-numbers L75 327/300hp engine, and two Chevrolet pickup trucks.

The 1954 Chevrolet 3100 custom deluxe pickup (Lot #424) is finished in Royal Blue Metallic and is powered by a 350ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, while the 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup (Lot #651) has been restored to factory specifications.

LOT #423.1 – 1964 FORD F-100 1 2 TON PICKUP – NO RESERVE

To compliment the Chevrolet trucks, a 1964 Ford F-100 half-ton pickup (Lot #423.1) is also offered with No Reserve. The single cab short bed pickup received an extensive rotisserie restoration and is finished in Candy-Apple Red.

Additionally offered is a 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Boss 302 (Lot #652.1). Power comes from a 351ci V8 engine paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car retains most of its original paint, original door tag, original pedal assembly, the original body panels and floors.

Two Pontiacs are offered from the collection, a 1968 Pontiac GTO custom coupe (Lot #668) and a 1970 Pontiac GTO coupe (Lot #426.1). The 1968 model comes powered by a Holley EFI 400ci turbocharged V8 engine paired to a 3-speed automatic overdrive transmission, rebuilt with Butler Performance components.

Meanwhile, the 1970 GTO received a frame-off restoration to correct specifications and was finished in its original color combination of Cardinal Red over a Saddle interior. It is powered by its matching-numbers 400ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission.

Lot #134.1, a 1966 Plymouth Satellite wraps up the collection. The Satellite has been restored and features factory-style air conditioning and power steering. Under the hood is a 383ci big block engine paired to a 4-speed manual transmission.

Each ready to drive, the High-Octane Collection is ready to cross the block at the 2022 Las Vegas auction with No Reserve.
