2005 was the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Thunderbird, Ford commemorated the event with a limited edition of 1,500 Anniversary Edition 2005 Ford Thunderbirds. 2005 also turned out to be the last year for the Ford Thunderbird. This is a low mileage example with less than 7,800 actual miles. The current owner purchased the car in 2010 with 6,400 miles from the first owners who had taken remarkably good care of it. The car was delivered to an Orlando, Florida dealership where it spent almost all of

its first five years with the first owners. The throttle position sensor and accelerator position sensor were replaced recently as was the oil, filter and battery, the rest of the car is original. The 50th Anniversary Edition is characterized by Cashmere tri-coat metallic paint (a cross between white and beige) with matching removable top and medium light stone cloth convertible top and soft boot. It has a coordinated Cashmere, stone and soft gold interior that include full glove-soft leather Cashmere seats and Cashmere trimmed lower instrument panel, floor console and door armrests. Each vehicle features a numbered commemorative plaque mounted on the inside of the glove box, this one is 674/1,500, and '50th Anniversary' embossed on both seat backs. The engine is a 3.9 Liter V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It has rear wheel drive and standard traction control. The Anniversary Edition also featured heated seats, automatic air conditioning, a 6-disc CD changer and an Audiophile sound system. The MSRP was $44,430.00 in 2005. This car includes the original hardtop, convertible top and boot. It also has the caddy used to store the hardtop when not in use. All of the instruments and mechanics are in good working order, including the convertible top mechanism. For the past three and a half years, the car has been driven only on nice days, never in the rain or snow and always garaged. It looks and drives like a new car.
