Each year Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction attracts celebrities and their cars. This year was no different, as The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions offered cars from John Mayer, Rod Stewart, General Colin L. Powell and Will Ferrell. Lot #1397 – JOHN MAYER’S 2006 FORD GT HERITAGE EDITION – $594,000
Pictured above and formerly owned by singer/songwriter John Mayer. One of 343 Heritage Editions made for the entire production run. 3,460 actual miles.
Lot #1348 – CARROLL SHELBY’S 1968 FORD MUSTANG “BLACK HORNET” – $451,000
Powered by a 428ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, this Carroll Shelby “Black Hornet” comes painted gloss black with a black interior. A tribute to the “Green Hornet,” without green paint, independent rear suspension or fuel injection.
Lot #1415 – ROD STEWART’S 2001 FERRARI 550 BARCHETTA CONVERTIBLE – $374,000
Previously owned by rock legend Rod Stewart. One of just 448 Barchettas 550s made. Complete with all books, tools, helmets and covers. Freshly serviced at an authorized Ferrari dealer. Finished in Argento Nürburgring with Nero leather.

A Southern California original vehicle, fully restored and upgraded with less than 1,000 miles since restoration. Owned by actor Will Ferrell.
Lot #1122.1 – ALAN JARDINE’S 1971 PLYMOUTH HEMI ‘CUDA RE-CREATION – $99,000
Was owned by Alan Jardine, co-founder of the Beach Boys. Fresh rebuilt real-deal dual-quad 426ci with 500hp on dyno. Has a Shaker hood, fresh 727 transmission, 4-wheel Wilwood brakes and rides on Budnick 18-inch wheels.
Lot #1065.1 – SIMON COWELL’S 1970 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MK III CONVERTIBLE – $84,700
Professionally restored in England for Simon Cowell, with backdated MK II front end and restored cockpit. Upgrades include twin Weber carburetors, a 5-speed gearbox, limited-slip differential and coilover suspension.

Customized by DUB magazine for an “East vs. West” TV show competition with Travis Barker and Teyana Taylor, which Travis won. Powered by a 1,997cc 4-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Lot #3000 – 2021 SHELBY SUPER SNAKE COUNT’S KUSTOMS EDITION – $385,000
One of one; the first-ever Shelby American collaboration build on a vehicle leaving their showroom. Powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote engine producing over 800hp, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. 100% of hammer price benefited Camp Freedom.
