PERFECTING THE POST: Five Phenomenal Photo Spots at the Auction

The Barrett-Jackson Performance Track – from the sidelines or inside a vehicle. While you are waiting your turn or taking a high-speed turn on the track, many agree that this is a top spot for selfies (or “usies”) at the auction.
Auction Arena – Capture the enormity of the space when you stand in the back of the room. If you spend some time framing the shot, it is possible to have the entire auction block and the majority of the audience show in your photo, especially if you happen to be standing in a row of the bleachers in the furthest section back.
Automobilia Auction display – Go for the glow. On the far end of the display area, closest to the east wall (near the burger stand, across from the public bar, where they have great cocktails) is where many of the authentic neons live before they go across the auction block. The lighting here can be beautiful, especially in the evening when everything really starts to sparkle.
On the Midway – Grab a sunset shot. When standing in the center of the Midway, and with the peaks of the white vehicle tents in the background, it is possible to frame a spectacular sunset shot at the auction. The hazy Arizona winter sky can really crank up the volume on the pinks and oranges around 5:30 each evening at WestWorld.
In a Vehicle Tent – right next to a wild ride. The outdoor auction vehicle display tents offer the best lighting for great photos when you want to capture that rockin’ 1970s Chevelle or groovy ’60s Mustang.
