Lot #3004 – 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 benefiting the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound
Two vehicles, including a 2009 Shelby GT500 Super Snake from the George Shinn Collection, will be auctioned together to support humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – April 5, 2022 – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will continue the company’s 50-year tradition of giving back to the community with the sale of seven charity vehicles during the 2022 Palm Beach Auction, April 7-9, at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The vehicles to be auctioned, with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting their respective charities, include the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 (Lot #3004) and the first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible (Lot #3005). Also featured in the selection of charity vehicles is a 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (Lot #3003) from the George Shinn Collection and a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Indy Pace Car from Mark Pieloch’s American Muscle Car Museum Collection (Lot #3003.1) that will be auctioned as a pair to benefit Samaritan’s Purse and their humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.

Lot #3003 – 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake benefiting Samaritan’s Purse
Ford Motor Co. has donated the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 (Lot #3004) to benefit the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound. The mission of the National Forest Foundation is to engage Americans into promoting the health and public enjoyment of our national forests. Outward Bound programs are designed to prepare students of all ages and circumstances with the strength of character and determination they need to thrive. This VIN 001 Bronco Raptor’s power comes from Ford’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine with specific Raptor-level tuning and paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Designed for desert running and boulder crawling, the Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV features a high-strength steel frame, Ford Performance-developed axles, an advanced 4×4 system and High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system.
Offered from the world-class George Shinn Collection is a 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (Lot #3003) will support Samaritan’s Purse for disaster relief and emergency medical care in Ukraine. This 750hp Shelby Super Snake is powered by a supercharged 4-cam 5.4-liter V8 engine backed by a 6-speed manual transmission with a 3.73:1 rear end showing 6,484 actual miles. Finished in Vapor Silver Metallic paint, the car features a carbon-composite hood with full-width scoops and hold-down pins, a carbon fiber front splitter, mirror covers and rocker panels. Carroll Shelby signed the black interior of this Super Snake, which is No. 309 built in 2009.
The matching-numbers Official Indy Pace Car 1986 Chevrolet Corvette convertible (Lot #3003.1) also benefiting Samaritan’s Purse and sold as a pair with Lot #3003 is offered from the renowned American Muscle Car Museum out of Melbourne, Fla. It is one of 735 built and is powered by a tuned-port fuel-injected 350/235hp paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission with only 9,325 actual miles.
One of the most highly anticipated vehicles to be auctioned for charity is the first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible (Lot #3005). The Z06 is powered by the all-new 5.5-liter LT6, the highest horsepower naturally aspirated V8 to hit the market in any production car ever, at 670hp. An all-new flat-plane crankshaft design entices drivers to push the tachometer to a lofty 8,600 rpm, filling the convertible cockpit with a distinctive, rich exhaust tone unlike anything ever heard from a Corvette. The winning bidder will get to select the car’s exterior and interior colors with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
Lot #3002 – 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited custom 6×6 pickup benefiting Can’d Aid
“The wonderful passion and selflessness of the collector car family is most seen when these charity vehicles cross our block,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “So many tears of joy and cheers of exhilaration have been shared over the years during these special moments. While the vehicles are fantastic, the people and organizations who will be impacted by the generosity of our donors and bidders really take centerstage during those sales.”
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited custom 6×6 pickup, nicknamed “The Savage Bull,” (Lot #3002) was commissioned by Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame baseball player Andruw Jones. The no-expenses-spared professional build transformed a 2012 Jeep Wrangler into a one-of-a-kind extended wheelbase 6×6 pickup. Power comes from a HEMI 6.4-liter 392ci V8 crate engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Beautifully finished in Mercedes-Benz Silver over a black interior, it rides on custom 22-inch wheels. One hundred percent of the hammer price will support Can’d Aid. Can’d Aid’s mission works to inspire and empower people to become catalysts for change in their own communities. One incredible project of theirs that embodies this mission is Treads + Trails where Can’d Aid is working with the city of Berthoud, CO to raise funds, provide volunteer labor and build the area’s first inclusive playground for children of all abilities. Miles Bowling, the inspiration for the park, and his mother, Lauren, will join Can’d Aid in Florida for the auction. Miles is 4 years old and was born with cerebral palsy, leaving him wheelchair dependent for his mobility.
Lot #3001 is a 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing crossing the auction block to benefit the SAE Foundation. The inspiration behind this vehicle is Cadillac’s 120th anniversary, as well as Cadillac’s history of invention and innovation, and this Blackwing is a first-production VIN within the Collectors Series. One of only 120 that will be built, the most powerful Cadillac ever is fueled by a 668hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with choice of 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. The winning bidder of this special-edition vehicle will work directly with Cadillac to customize its configuration.
A 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 (Lot #3000) selling to benefit Johns Hopkins University and specifically pancreatic cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Optioned with the desirable Carbon Fiber Track Pack, which includes the GT4-inspired carbon-fiber rear wing, carbon-fiber splitters and 20-inch ultra-lightweight exposed carbon-fiber wheels, this is commonly referred to as a “Golden Ticket” car due to its rarity with only 1,250 produced.
