LOT #762 – 2022 FERRARI SF90 STRADALE ASSETTO FIORANO – NO RESERVE

From its inception, the Pista di Fiorano was engineered to push the boundaries of Ferrari’s performance. Established in 1972 adjacent to the Maranello factory in Italy, the 3-kilometer figure-eight track serves as a proving ground for Ferrari’s track and road cars to undergo rigorous testing. Designed to measure handling, braking, weight distribution and acceleration under extreme conditions, Fiorano is where the soul of every Ferrari is tested.

At the track’s opening, Enzo Ferrari himself famously declared, “From this moment on, no Ferrari will tackle the track or enter mass production without passing the Fiorano test with flying colors.”

As a result of Ferrari’s desire to create the ultimate testing environment, Fiorano’s corners were deliberately crafted to mirror some of the most iconic F1 racing circuits like Monte Carlo’s famous Gasometer hairpin, the challenging Tarzan corner of Zandvoort and the Brunchen jump of Germany’s Nürburgring. To test and simulate wet weather conditions, the track features an advanced irrigation system capable of soaking the entire track. Other advanced features include full circuit telemetry sensors used in Ferrari’s driving courses.

279332_InteriorAmong the numerous production cars that have tackled the Fiorano circuit, Ferrari’s groundbreaking plug-in hybrid models, the SF90 Stradale and the 296 GTB, distinguish themselves as true conquerors. These two trailblazing Ferraris not only showcase hybrid innovation but also hold the unique honor of being the only models available with the exclusive Assetto Fiorano package, further enhancing their track prowess.

The SF90 Stradale is one of Ferrari’s most powerful road cars ever built, and reigned supreme for a time at Fiorano after unseating the LaFerrari, which dominated the track for four years. For the SF90 Stradale, the Assetto Fiorano package brings a host of performance-focused upgrades and serves as more than just a set of cosmetic tweaks ‒ it’s a thorough performance overhaul designed to amplify the car’s track prowess.

The approach behind the Assetto Fiorano package is straightforward: Take an incredibly fast road car and refine it further by shedding weight, boosting aerodynamic downforce and enhancing dynamic performance. The result is a driving experience that is razor-sharp, intensely engaging and uncompromisingly precise, delivering the ultimate fusion of road and track capabilities.

279332_Rear_3-4The SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano package starts with a 40-kilogram (roughly 88-pound) reduction in overall weight. The suspension system was reengineered, replacing adaptive dampers with passive aluminum Multimatic dampers that have been finely tuned for track use and inspired by Ferrari’s GT racing heritage. Additionally, high-performance materials like carbon fiber and titanium are extensively used throughout the car. A larger carbon-fiber rear spoiler generates 390 kilograms (856 pounds) of downforce at 250 km/h (155 mph), while titanium suspension components and exhausts help minimize weight. To keep the 211-mph SF90 glued to the track, Ferrari has equipped it with softer compound Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and rear-screen louvres ensure the powertrain remains cool under intense track conditions.

At the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, October 10-13 at WestWorld, Barrett-Jackson bidders will have the opportunity to acquire a 2022 Ferrari SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano with No Reserve. The Assetto Fiorano SF90 Stradale is powered by a state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid system that combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, producing a staggering 986 horsepower delivered to all four wheels through an 8-speed F1 dual-clutch automatic transmission. Notably, it’s the first mid-engine Ferrari to feature all-wheel drive. According to Car and Driver magazine, the SF90 Stradale set an astonishing 0-to-60 time of just 2.0 seconds, making it the fastest car they’ve ever tested at the time, with a top speed estimated at 211 mph.

Finished in Grigio Titanio Metallic with a Nero interior accented by Rosso piping, this SF90 is lavishly equipped with over $220,000 in Ferrari options, including an extensive suite of carbon-fiber enhancements. With the inclusion of the Assetto Fiorano package, this car’s MSRP reaches $742,029. Offered with only 5,643 actual miles, the sale includes the original Window Sticker, adding a final touch of exclusivity to this remarkable machine.
