Details
This 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG BRABUS 6x6 was ordered new in Germany in Designo Bright Mystic White II over a Designo Light Brown leather interior. Following the initial delivery, the vehicle was taken to BRABUS of Bottrop, Germany, for modifications to B63S-700 specification. Work by BRABUS included installing a custom-designed ECU, larger turbochargers, new intake air pipes with gold heat shielding, an additional air-to-water intercooler, high-performance catalytic converters with 75mm,
lower-resistance stainless-steel downpipes and butterfly valves to route the exhaust through the side pipes when desired. Additional vents have been added to the hood and the sides of the fenders to aid in keeping this V8 running cool. It now puts out 700hp and 708 ft/lbs of torque and is mated to the bullet-proof AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case and five electronic differential locks. Equipment includes a central tire inflation system, Ohlins suspension, 18-inch Hutchinson beadlock wheels, a wood-paneled bed, heated and ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon sound system with navigation. The interior was refinished in black and white BRABUS leather with a hex-grid pattern created by contrasting stitching. This leather covers the seats and is extended onto the door panels. The black leather headrests display embroidery reading 'BRABUS 700.' Continuing the white and black theme is white carbon-fiber trim used throughout the interior and a black Alcantara headliner. The wheels were upgraded with black and red Hutchinson beadlock wheels with BRABUS center caps currently shod with 37x13.5-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. The exterior of the car also received additional LED lighting, BRABUS badging on the rear and a red G700 badge in the grille, as well as a 'B' in place of the Mercedes logo throughout the car. Following the completion of the work at BRABUS, the 6x6 was imported into the United States under the 'Show and Display' rule. A sticker has been affixed in the engine compartment showing that this car has been modified to meet the EPA emission standards in September 2014 by G&K Automotive Conversion of Santa Ana, CA. The vehicle is accompanied by its importation documents and a letter from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirming that its request to be in the United States under the 'Show or Display' rule was granted. More recently, the tires, front brake pads and one of the driveshafts were changed in September 2021. In 2023, the air lines were replaced, the wood was refinished and new BRABUS side steps were added. With just over 100 6x6s being produced, the added exclusivity of the BRABUS upgrades only adds to the appeal of what has been called 'the most spectacular cross-country vehicle of all time.' 10,748 actual miles.
