2007 FORD SALEEN MUSTANG FASTBACK

This is the Parnelli Jones Saleen Mustang. Parnellli was one of the legendary race car drivers on the Trans Am racing circuit running his #15 Boss 302 Mustang against the Camaro and Challengers. In 1970, Parnelli won the SCCA Trans AM Series in his Boss Mustang. In 2007 and 2007 only, Steve Saleen decided to manufacture a special Mustang as a tribute to Parnelli Jones. Every one of the 500 were delivered in one color, Grabber Orange. Car #491 has just 5,636 original miles. To deliver the Parnelli Jones experience each of the 500 cars, were bored to 302ci to match the Boss 302 motor in the race car. Saleen added 10 more engine upgrades, 9 chassis and suspension upgrades, along with 13 exterior and 7 interior changes including the black and orange interior. The 302 Saleen built V8 puts out 400hp out of its high revving engine delivered through the rugged 5-speed Tremec transmission and 3.71 rear gears. Parnelli inspired the Watts linkage rear suspension for aggressive handling and smooth ride. Brakes are Saleen 4-piston front calipers and slotted and vented rotors. A notable throwback to the early 1970's, are the black Shaker hood, rear window slats and Saleen Mini lite alloy wheels. Car 491 is one of the last 9 produced and each dash was individually signed by Parnelli Jones and Steve Saleen.

This limited-edition orange Saleen Parnelli Jones Boss 302 is number 491 of 500, with 5,636 actual miles. Tremec 5-speed transmission, 3-valve V8 produces 400hp and 390 ft/lbs of torque, with special Saleen 4-piston front calipers.
