Details
First revealed in the summer of 2000, the Opel Speedster was a British-built sports car. General Motors partnered with Lotus to produce the car utilizing an Elise chassis with a General Motors 2.2-liter Ecotech inline 4-cylinder engine producing 145hp, backed with a 5-speed manual transmission. The chassis utilizes a lightweight aluminum tub weighing only 159 pounds; combined with other lightweight components, the whole car only weighs 1,918 pounds. It utilizes a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive
layout, giving the car well-balanced and nimble handling capabilities. It was sold internationally under various names; in the U.K. it was the Vauxhaull VX220 and the Daewoo Speedster in Asia, and as the Opel Speedster in the rest of Europe. **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE**
