This early production Series 1, #34 of 249 built, features the optional all-aluminum, 32-valve, double overhead cam supercharged L47 Aurora 4.0-liter V8 engine. The engine is coupled to a ZF 6-speed manual transmission featuring a heavy-duty clutch and a 4.22:1 gear ratio in the independent rear end. It features an all-alloy, double wishbone independent suspension on all four corners and 4-wheel disc brakes. Forged aluminum control arms and spindles used in the Corvette were enhanced by cantilever-style coilover shock absorbers complete with remote reservoirs. The carbon-fiber body is finished in silver with Le Mans stripes and a folding soft-top.
