This exotic motor car is serial number 002 of only 14 produced factory Vectors with a body-off restoration completed in February 2008 by George Evans at a cost in excess of $100,000. Founded by Gerald Wiegart in 1972 the company produced various models prior to the M-12. During the early 1990's the company was taken over by its Board of Directors and relocated to Jacksonville, Florida to share offices with its 'corporate cousin' Lamborghini. The Vector M-12 uses a version of the Lamborghini Diablo V12 engine, after less than a year of production the two companies were separated, sold, parted and engine supplies were cut off. Again, only 14 M-12's were produced with the Lamborghini V12 engine and this is the second car of that production. Two of the 14 produced cars are listed as destroyed. Essentially the vehicle is a re-bodied Lamborghini Diablo with a chopper gun fiberglass body set on a lengthened Diablo chassis. The drive train is a 5,707cc Lamborghini V12 engine, which produced 492hp and 425ft/lb of torque at 5200rpm. Zero to sixty times are 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 190 plus miles per hour. The suspension, brake system and drive train are Lamborghini. Finished in Lambo Yellow with beautiful black leather interior and yellow piping.
