This 1996 Corvette Collector's Edition custom convertible was modified by legendary Corvette tuner Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) in 2003. The Corvette is powered by a stroked 383ci V8 engine that routes a dyno-proven 440hp and 430 ft/lbs of torque though an upgraded automatic transmission. The engine is equipped with stainless-steel headers and a Borla exhaust system, and the sale includes over $20,000 in original LPE receipts. This car took second place in its class at the 2011 Corvette-Chevy Expo in Houston, TX. Features included power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks and hardtop. This highly sought-after Corvette has been in private collections since new and has never been offered at public auction before. Has 28,454 miles (the title reads mileage exempt).
