This is an NE Limited Edition HMCS version of the M998 HMMWV Humvee. Factory equipped with the 6.2 Liter diesel V8 engine, TH400/3L80 transmission, 12,000lb winch and CTIS.

A total of 316 of these first year 'Limited Edition' Hummers were sold directly from the factory to the owners. They are identified by the NE assign in the VIN. This is special order #311 and one of the only rare HMCS wagon versions. It remains factory equipped with the 6.2 Liter diesel V8 engine, TH400/3L80 transmission, 12,000 lb winch, brush guards and Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS). The CTIS enables the driver to increase or decrease the tire air pressure at the push of a button on the
dash. Since lower tire pressures are more suited for off-road, and higher tire pressures are desirable on-road, the system allows this H1 to handle both on and off the road.
