Description
In 1987, a new version of the Esprit was unveiled, incorporating rounder styling cues given by designer Peter Stevens of McLaren F1 fame. A new Lotus patented process was introduced to create a new body. The car's type 910 engine retained 215hp and 220 ft/lbs of torque, but decreased its 0-60 time from 5.4 seconds to 5.1 seconds and a top speed of over 150 mph. The Stephens-style Espirit is often known by its project code name, X180. Manual transmission. CARFAX shows accident damage to left front and left rear on 01/13/2004.
