1972 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT II CUSTOM SUV

This 1972 International Scout II was in Mexico in 2021 and returned to the U.S., where it underwent a complete restoration with several custom touches, including the 'mariachi horn' from its previous life and a custom serape-trimmed dash that completes the homage. Power comes from a 345ci International V8 engine, now with a Holley Sniper EFI system. It's also equipped with custom handmade stainless-steel headers and exhaust, along with a K&N filter and breather. The engine stays cool with an aluminum radiator and a replacement fan shroud for the factory mechanical fan. The entire wiring harness has been replaced with modern wiring and upgraded battery terminals, and an Optima Yellowtop battery was installed. The truck has been lifted on a custom-fabricated suspension setup using Rancho RS9000 remote-reservoir shocks, along with Dana 44 front and rear axles and knobby off-road tires. Stopping is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes fed fluid from a Wilwood-style master cylinder and booster. The exterior features a Broadway mirror that allows visibility around the truck, side mirrors from Billet Specialties and a Warn winch. Inside there are custom-trimmed front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, custom bikini cover, tonneau cover and an added center console. The original steering wheel and B&M shifter were retained from previous ownership. The gauges were replaced with modern AutoMeter electronic gauges in the custom dash pad. A Kicker stereo system was installed with four 6x9-inch Kicker speakers, a Kicker dual 12-inch 1200-watt subwoofer, Kicker 1200-watt amplifier and an Alpine UTE-73BT digital media player.
