Details
This is a true 1972 Chevy K10 with the original 1972 option-based utility bed. The corrosion-free body has been completely sandblasted with metal and bodywork done for a top-tier finish. It's finished in PPG Lead Foot Gray and Heron White two-tone paint with contrasting blacked-out trim for a modern yet classic style. The entire truck has been outfitted with all-new weatherstripping and glass. The utility bed has been completely restored with black stained wood, color-matched bedliner inside and
out, and a custom-made rear bumper with steps. Inside the doors is powder-coated shelving with LED backlighting. The bed is also finished with a two-tone hand-pinstriped Gloss Black line. A set of 17-inch American Racing wheels come wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 white letter tires. The chassis has been completely reworked and all holes have been welded. It features TIG-welded custom-fabricated crossmembers, suspension hangars and shackles. The chassis is finished with a fully polished 3-inch TIG-welded stainless-steel exhaust completely with MagnaFlow mufflers. In addition, 8-lug Dana axles were installed along with FOX 2.0 shocks. This K10 is powered by a completely rebuilt 454ci V8 Chevy big-block engine refinished in Hugger Orange with hand-pinstriped valve covers backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and rebuilt NP205 transfer case. Other mechanical highlights include new MSD ignition, Holley Demon Delivery fuel system, and a Griffen aluminum radiator complete with all-stainless-steel lines and hoses. The body, chassis and engine are tied together with a professionally installed American Autowire harness. Keeping this K10 filled is a 24-gallon Boyd aluminum fuel cell. The interior features a distressed black Snowden bench seat, color-matched Classic Instruments gauges, an all-new tilt steering column and brand-new Vintage Air system. A RetroSound head unit is installed in the dash and plays through two Pioneer 5.5-inch speakers and one 12-inch subwoofer inside a custom-made enclosure. Every nut, bolt and bushing was replaced during this K10's restoration. Well over 800 hours were invested into the build, with nothing left untouched.
