Details
This 1972 Corvette was hand-built with the intention of becoming the fastest-timed street car in the nation. It was initially built in a 48-hour time frame and is properly named the 48-hour Corvette. It is powered by a Lingenfelter dry-sump, naturally-aspirated 427ci LS7 engine mated to a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission and a Currie 9” independent rear suspension. Controlling all of the power is a RideTech Track 1 system, where the complete suspension ride and manners are controlled through the Instinct electronic adaptive shock absorbers with electronic traction control. Like modern supercars, the electronic shocks self-adjust to changing dynamics, including soft dampening for comfortable street driving and firm dampening for high-performance driving. Among its numerous options, it also has huge Wilwood 6-piston brakes, Forgeline wheels and Vintage Air.
