Description
This 1971 Oldsmobile 442 custom convertible tribute was custom-built by Hendrick Performance and has been completely upgraded with modern high-performance components. It is powered by an all-aluminum 450hp GM LS3 V8 engine with camshaft upgrade backed by a computer-controlled 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission and Currie Ford 9-inch rear axle. This Oldsmobile is equipped with SpinTech mufflers and an aluminized dual-exhaust system. It is riding on Detroit Speed suspension and engineering that includes upper and lower control arms, spindles, anti-roll bars, KONI shocks and a 4-link rear suspension for optimum performance. The convertible stopping power is provided by Baer 4-piston front- and 2-piston rear-caliper power braking system in conjunction with Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted on custom 17-inch billet Oldsmobile Rally wheels. The car is finished in blue and silver paint over a custom white leather interior with bucket seats and a factory console in between the Hurst shifter. Other upgrades inside the cabin include a Vintage Air system, Kenwood CD stereo system and modern gauges.
