Details

This custom 1971 Dodge D100 long-bed pickup is a 'barn find' that sat for over 20 years and underwent a recent full restoration with 1,000 miles since completion. It is powered by its original fully rebuilt 318ci V8 engine mated to a fully rebuilt 3-speed 727 automatic transmission. The original engine and transmission were removed and restored, and some engine bay components were replaced with new parts, including a new battery, new radiator, fuel lines and hoses. gutted and painted in a Matte Black color. Power rack & pinion steering delivers a modern feel with upgraded power steering. The engine breathes out of a custom 3-inch Borla exhaust with Borla Attack mufflers. The fuel tank was relocated. It sits on the original chassis, but Signature Performance in Costa Mesa, CA, installed a brand-new suspension with QA1 independent front suspension, while the rear of the pickup has QA1 shocks and a flip kit, and the truck was lowered 5 inches all around. The front received drop spindles paired with CPP-serrated 11.5-inch front disc brakes, while the rear has rebuilt drum brakes. The body was done by Oscar & Sons in Santa Ana, CA, who took it down to bare metal and refinished this example in a bed-off two-tone paint scheme of Gunmetal Metallic paint with some added candy flakes to give the paint some pop in the sun. The roof and trim received a Gloss Black finish with black accents, while the bed has a black spray-in bed liner. The exterior features all-new weatherstripping and glass all around, as well as upgraded front LED headlights with built-in turn signals. This pickup rolls on 20-inch Gloss Black Detroit Steel wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 tires. The brand-new interior received a new carpet, while the custom bench seat and headliner received a diamond-stitch pattern with red contrast stitching. It also features an upgraded Forever Sharp steering wheel, and the lap belts were removed to allow for installation of 3-point red seat belts.
