Description
This Nobody-Customs-restored 1971 K5 Blazer has undergone a complete frame-off, rotisserie nut-and-bolt restoration. This Blazer is powered by a GM Performance 6.2-liter LS3 engine backed by a 4L70E automatic transmission and equipped with an Advanced Adapter to support the GM NP208 transfer case. During its restoration, the chassis was completely torn down, sandblasted and painted black for durability, with all-new body mounts, bushings and bolts. All the body metal is completely original to the vehicle and has been refinished in DeBeer factory GM Hugger Orange. The fiberglass top was completely restored, fitted with new glass and seals, and finished in a custom Chocolate Satin to complement the full roll cage and interior. The fully welded roll cage rides the length of the interior and is fitted with a removable saddle-tan full bikini top. This Blazer features stopping power provided by 4-wheel disc brakes and Wilwood Hydro-Boost brake assist. It received a 12-bolt rear and Dana 44 front differential with 4.11 ratio gears, along with all-new suspension components. The Blazer rides on Detroit Steel wheels with restored OEM center caps wrapped with BFGoodrich KO2 tires. The restoration was complete with all-new sound matting, new glass, weatherstripping, custom crossmembers, all-new chrome and trim, and welded holes throughout. The interior is finished in custom hand-stitched saddle tan leather with body-matching plaid inserts throughout. No detail was spared on the interior, which was fitted with power windows, Dakota Digital gauges, a RetroSound radio, wood-rim steering wheel with a new tilt and cruise column, a Vintage Air system, leather-wrapped roll cage and center console, custom-fabricated door panels and rear panels hiding all the audio components. Under the hood sits a DeWitts aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, stainless-steel and braided lines throughout with paint-matched, vintage-style Chevrolet valve covers. The underside of the truck is finished in custom color-matched durable U-POL product with a custom stainless-steel exhaust and MagnaFlow mufflers.
Rotisserie-restored and powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 engine mated to a 4L70E transmission with a NP208 transfer case. Painted the original Hugger Orange with power windows, Dakota Digital gages, custom plaid and saddle tan interior, and a full roll cage.
