Details
This frame-off-restored 1971 Chevelle Heavy Chevy is finished in custom Red Pearl paint with all-new chrome and 18-inch Foose Legend wheels rolling on Nitto 555 Extreme Performance tires. The interior features a Bluetooth Alpine sound system with upgraded subwoofer, speakers and tweeters. This Heavy Chevy is powered by a 461ci V8 engine outfitted with Eagle rod, crank and pistons, K&N filter system, Crane camshaft, Headman headers and Edelbrock air intake. The engine is backed by a 700R4
automatic transmission with overdrive, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes with red calipers. The 1971 Chevelles were treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integrated into the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the 'Heavy Chevy' at midyear.
